Maps & Networks - Projection Outside Experiment

I started by creating my projection images. I want to create homage to Javier Riera so by using photoshop I created my circles to be projected. I gathered that the black wont show and the white will just simply illuminate so I followed this idea through onto my own experiment too. 

I wanted to create my own projection image in my theme of cyber punk photography and took inspiration from an image I found on google. 

 I thought about how the white would show and the other colours would be projected slightly darker so I used very vivid colours within the coloured theme. I also tried to create a glowing look by using a very feathered brush and adding darker then lighter layers of colour and eventually white underneath the circuits. 

My Outcomes

The further away you were the light wasn't so strong and the patterns on patterns didn't really work either as they were too busy. The circular light was interesting. It was fun walking around and trying to find something that would work well. It was an interesting experiment and definitely one that will help when it comes to the editing process of the animation as the different colors are going to show up differently and depending on how bright the projector is to how far away the model is will vary the light too.
