A SUDDEN GUST OF WIND (AFTER HOKUSAI) (1993) - JEFF WALL
I decided to take inspiration from this image as it was one of the only photographic images so I could understand the piece more confidently than the others.
Initial sounds:
- wind
- paper
- tree rustling
- water
- electric pilons/telephone poles?
- factories
- foot steps
- stick dragging on floor
- fabric flapping
- grass
There are five figures in the image, the first one is the farmer? in the background, the piece could follow a passage of time with them all having their own "sound story".
The sound could start and build with each person "entering".
Taking all of the visual elements and create a playful soundscape.
A sound piece from the perspective of just the blinded woman. I would like to attempt this one as I feel as though it will be challenging and playful sounding.
