Pro Tools Sound - Choosing Text

I have been struggling to think of a piece of text which I like enough to create a sound piece to. I started out by considering taking lyrics from a song and taking out any repetitions and rearranging it to make some kind of sound 'story'. I chose Toxicity by System of a Down as I could hear a busy city with some weird and wonderful sounds. It would start very hectic and then slowly get quieter?

I decided that I didn't really like this idea that much and wanted a piece of text that has more "visual" sounds, as silly as that sounds. I decided to write my own poem which I can create sounds from. Although the brief says to choose a passage from a piece of text I argue that now it is written down it is a piece of text passable to choose. I thought about sounds a more often than not more sounds throughout my day annoyed me/added to my paranoia and started listing them in my poem. My poem follows with a narrative of a day which consists of being at home, a walk to the pub and in the pub and going home and taking the edge off my day. 

I started to type up my poem.

Paranoid

Loud neighbors
The kids on the street
A man on the phone
Home alone,

A click
Tick
Boiler on the brink
The drip drip of the kitchen sink

Don't stop
Was that
A stray cat
Someone breathing down my back
A crack
Smack
Beating fast
Heart attack

A dog bark
A car goes past
Clink clink
Glass
Thoughts racing fast

Jingling keys

Clicking knees
Bumble bees
Don't get too close
Cough cough
Sneeze
Anyone who disagrees
Big sweaty men
Pubs
Sleaze

Muffled voices behind the walls
Are they talking about me in the bathroom stall
Niagara falls
Take a minute
Withdrawals

Puff puff
Enlightening
Is my brain tightening
Fuel my paranoia
Silencing

I like my poem and I'm going to develop it more and then work on what sounds I am going to include.
