Creating a duel screen & first draft
From the beginning of my initial ideas I knew that I wanted to create a split screen, however, I had never done so before. I started to look for Adobe After Effect tutorials on YouTube however the videos that I found were not very helpful until I came across this video:
I started following the tutorial step by step and 5 minutes later I had my composition all set up. All I needed to remember for when I add my footage is that right hand size position is 1442.0 and 540.0 and the scale is at 50.0%. The left side is at 481.0 and 540.0 and the scale is 50.0%.
- I started by creating my Colour Mattes and then adding in my black line which splits the screen which is called Graphic.
- This is what the first stage looked like, the white will have to be replaced with black at some point so it gives the illusion of the split screen.
- I started to them orchestrate some of the footage I had taken and start creating the order which my model walks
This is my very rough, very first draft.
