Final image shoot
Contact sheet for final shoot
After quickly working out my exposure and how I wanted my image to be framed, I asked my assistant to take the image whilst I chose different poses and incorporated different objects into the frame. I started off with myself with the objects which I felt necessary, I wanted to include my dogs in some way as they're a huge part of my life and they represent my childhood and playfulness and as you can see they didn't sit still for very long. I also wanted to include my umbrella in my image as it is a symbol of temporary shelter and I also thought that visually it would look more appealing, some irony in it too as its a sun umbrella and theres snow on the ground. Although it snowed, I was expecting it to be raining in my image which I would have preferred however I really like the snow and how it made the sky this incredible peachy colour. Trying to think of different poses to best represent myself was difficult as I don't like being the subject. However I thought about how I would position someone else in my frame and then it became more familiar for myself. It was difficult to express emotion in my images as it was colder than Theresa May's heart, but I found it easier to look around and talk to my assistant throughout the shoot to have a more natural look to it. Overall, I am very pleased with my images.
Final Image selection
I think compositionally this image is my favourite as it looks the most appealing. I also like the pose and how I am looking directly at the camera.
