FUTURISTIC

I found a short film which was a little unusual in context however the cyber aesthetic of the whole film was very well executed. I have taken some ideas about icons and other things which I could also include in my own animation.

Emily P showed me this Instagram account which has a lot of the cyberpunk style and I specifically found one animation clip on the page to be almost exactly what I wanted to project onto my buildings through my animation.

The details are important to the animation, I really want to have a lot of detail with the windows and street lights etc. I want the base for my animation to be similar to this and then I will have a sort of narrative sequence which will highlight the benefits of technology.

Whilst watching some projection mapping videos I started to make a list of animation movements I liked and wanted to have within my own piece.

The scanning - the light source panned across the building and highlighted the architecture of the structure.

Out lining the building too but this is similar to scanning which the scanning is better suited to my concept.

Growing upwards such as something unfolding up to have it build - it could be a good start to the animation.

The fish moving - creating the illusion of a 3D object by using optical illusion such as having a fish swim behind and then in front of something traveling through the building.

I have made a playlist of videos on youtube that I have found about projection mapping and animation.

As my cyber punk aesthetic requires my projection narrative to be at night time I have found a collection of images of my buildings at night to try and dissect some of the characteristics which will make it easier for me to visualise when considering my animation storyboard.
