Google Glass & integrated tech

Google Glasses sort lived appearance in the world of tech presented itself for commercial use in 2014 and since has undergone many different updates and software changes to adapt to the needs of the customer. The idea of wearable tech is still very much the future, even if Google Glass is not, yet. Some of the functions which the Google Glass can achieve are the same as a smartphone without the need of carrying round a handheld device. The glasses can allow the user to access the internet, send and receive messages, take pictures and get directions among many other functions which smartphones can also do.

So the future of tech is heading towards hands free wearable tech? Wrong! Though this technology is minimally invasive compared to microchips implanted under the skin, we are still heading towards biotechnology for our future. I would like to think about other ways in which technology can be intergrated into society, hands free!!!

I find the idea of augmented reality as I've always been interested in the idea of seeing things differently to others. I would like to look into this idea further as it is something which greatly interests me.

Whilst looking into the Google Glass, I started to find a trend of screens or windows being used in the same functions as the Google Glass such as interactive car windows and window screens. Realistically thinking, as a driver, I feel outraged when I see somebody on their phone whilst driving but would an integrated tech window screen be a negative rather than a positive? Would this technology be useful or just another fad which will be fobbed off by techies due to lack of tests and outrageous costs? Car enthusiasts spend outrageous amounts of money each year upgrading their motors, so why wouldn't a window with tech enhancements appeal to the crowd? Personally, I would love to be completely hands free in my car, the rage of not being able to answer a call from my phone or not being able to take a picture of the asshole's car who's just clipped my back bumper as he's shot past. I would like to look in further at this advancement of technology.

The simplicity of not having to constantly check your speed gage in a 30. Not having to twist your neck back and forth trying to locate an empty parking spot.

Safety is an important factor as cars are essentially metal death machine, the screens could detect dangers before you could.
